Be a part of our promising future!
Join the exclusive group of forward-thinking corporations, foundations, organizations, and individuals that provide support for the State Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF) of Florida. The SSEF of Florida is the largest academic competition in Florida and part of the world class science fair network and affiliated with the International Science and Engineering Fair through the Society for Science. ISEF. SSEF of Florida sponsors and partners are essential to the success of the program and to the future of STEM.
For information on how to become an SSEF sponsor or partner, please email Nancy Besley, Executive Director of the Florida Foundation for Future Scientists, Inc. [email protected]
The State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida is administered by the Florida Foundation for Future Scientists, Inc. (FFFS). The FFFS is designated a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization by the Revenue Service (FEID number 59-6155014).
Dear Friend of the State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida,
We have established a Friends of the State Science & Engineering Fair (SSEF) of Florida Fund with the purpose of raising funds to support both the operational expenses of the annual SSEF and to establish the resources needed to meet the mission of the Florida Foundation for Future Scientists to recognize and reward the talented students of Florida for their academic pursuits through STEM research.
The SSEF is only possible through the many teachers, administrators, corporate members and individuals who volunteer thousands of hours each year. The SSEF is the largest Academic Competition in the state of Florida. Each year more than 900 aspiring scientists in grades six through twelve participate as Finalists from the 37 affiliated Regional Science and Engineering Fairs (representing all 67 counties in Florida). More than 200,000 students are involved at local school and regional levels before being selected as a Finalist for the SSEF.
We are the most successful Science and Engineering Fair in the world as our participants have won more awards and recognition at the International Science and Engineering Fair than any other state or nation.
The Florida Foundation for Future Scientists, Inc. has been charged by the legislature to administer the SSEF each year since 1957. We continue to experience decreases in financial support. The Florida Foundation for Future Scientists, Inc. is organized and registered as a Florida Corporation not-for-profit, and is designated as a 501c(3) non-profit organization by the Internal Revenue Service (59-6155014).
We are asking you to help in any way you can. If you work for a company that employs scientists and/or engineers, please send us information on who to contact for corporate support.
We are also asking you, as an individual or organization, to support us so we can continue to provide the opportunity for the students of Florida to compete in this annual intellectual and academic competition. This competition provides a much needed opportunity for students that are interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields to compete and network through interviews with expert scientists from our science community. A high percentage of our Finalists have become science professionals in your community.
We ask you to consider supporting the Friends of the State Science & Engineering Fair (SSEF) of Florida Fund so that we may continue our tradition. It is with your generosity and dedication that we will be able to provide a rewarding and memorable experience for the future scientists of Florida.

You are Invited to Sponsor an Award at the 70th State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida The State’s Largest Academic STEM Competition
Description of Special Awards Program
The Special Awards Program is a vital component of the State Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF) of Florida – STEM Competition. These awards recognize talented youth for their dedication and commitment to scientific research and inspire young people by giving them confidence in their abilities and encouraging their study of science. This program offers a unique opportunity for organizations to support and encourage achievements by young people in STEM – science, technology, engineering, and math.
The Awards Program depends on the generosity of Donors. Donors include individuals at the local, state, and national levels from businesses, industry, institutions, government agencies, and scientific professional organizations.
Donation Process
To donate Special Awards, Scholarships, and/or Internship Opportunity Awards, simply complete the appropriate form provided on our website and send by December 15. The actual award(s) must be received NO LATER than January 15th.
Donors may provide Judges to interview and select the Finalists who will receive their organization’s awards. Donors may request that their award be used wherever needed (FFFS discretionary). This allows the FFFS to maintain a balance of awards in each Category. Please note: Awards cannot be restricted to a project from a particular Regional Science and Engineering Fair.
We thank you in advance for donating and providing opportunities for awards at the 70th State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida. Please take time to offer this opportunity to others who might be interested in this opportunity. We look forward to working with you at the 2025 SSEF-STEM Competition.
If you or your organization would like to become an initial sponsor, please feel free to contact me directly regarding this opportunity.
